Ένα διαφορετικό Συμπόσιο Μελισσοκομίας στις Κυκλάδες

Το Επιμελητήριο Κυκλάδων και το Ινστιτούτο Μελισσοκομίας του ΕΛΓΟ «ΔΗΜΗΤΡΑ» (www.elgo.gr) σε συνεργασία με το ίδρυμα «Eva Crane Trust» (προς τιμή της μεγάλης EVA CRANE - http://evacranetrust.org) διοργανώνουν Διεθνές Συμπόσιο με θέμα «Η Μελισσοκομία στη Μεσόγειο από την αρχαιότητα έως και σήμερα: ιστορικά ευρήματα και επίκαιρα θέματα» στις 9, 10 και 11 Οκτωβρίου 2014 στην Ερμούπολη Σύρου στη Συνεδριακή Αίθουσα Επιμελητηρίου Κυκλάδων και τοπικά γραφεία του Επιμελητηρίου στα νησιά Άνδρος, Μήλος, Μύκονος, Νάξος, Πάρος, Σαντορίνη, Τήνος.

Κύριος στόχος του Συμποσίου είναι η παρουσίαση των ευρημάτων που σχετίζονται με την ιστορία της μελισσοκομίας στην Ελλάδα αλλά και στη Μεσόγειο, τη μεταφορά εμπειριών για τη χρήση των ντόπιων φυλών και ευρεία συζήτηση πάνω στα τρέχοντα πρακτικά θέματα μελισσοκομίας όπως η σωστή και αποτελεσματική καταπολέμηση των ασθενειών.

Η θεματολογία του Συμποσίου αφορά όλους μας, γιατί η ιστορία μας δείχνει το δρόμο για το μέλλον, γιατί η παράδοσή μας στην μελισσοκομία υπάρχει στην πρακτική και στους πληθυσμούς μας, γιατί μπορεί τα προβλήματα του κλάδου να είναι πολλά αλλά υπάρχουν και προοπτικές ανάπτυξης. Θα χαρούμε να σας δούμε όλους κοντά μας και να μοιραστούμε τη γνώση μέσα από ένα διαφορετικό ταξίδι ανά τους αιώνες.

Ειδικότερα, στο πρόγραμμα του Συμποσίου περιλαμβάνονται:

Ντόπιες φυλές μελισσών, χαρακτηριστικά, διατήρηση (2η Συνεδρία)

Μελισσοκομική πρακτική - προβλήματα - Προοπτικές ανάπτυξης της Μελισσοκομίας (Στρογγυλή Τράπεζα)

A different beekeeping Symposium in the Cyclades

The Cyclades Chamber and the Insistute of Apiculture of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization ELGO 'Demeter' (www.elgo.gr) in collaboration with the Eva Crane Trust (in honor of the great EVA CRANE - http://evacranetrust.org) are organizing an International Symposium on "Beekeeping in the Mediterrenean from antiquity until today: historical findings and current issues" on the 9 th, 10 th and 11th of October in Ermoupoli Syros in the Cyclades Chamber Conference Hall & local offices of the Chamber on the islands Andros, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini, Tinos.

The main objective of the symposium is to present the findings related to the history of beekeeping in Greece and the Mediterranean, share experiences on the use of local honeybee breeds and have a broad discussion on current practical beekeeping issues such as proper and effective disease prevention and management.

The main theme of the Symposium is relevant to all of us given that history shows us the way to the future. Our beekeeping tradition exists in our practice and our population and while the sector's problems are numerous, there are prospects for growth. We will be glad to see you all and to have the opportunity to share knowledge, taking this different journey throughout the ages.
